Josh Berkowitz has spear-headed the Rider SA-ACS effort to develop a SA program for the recent MARM (June 8-11, 2003) hosted by the Trenton Section of the ACS. Thanks to Josh, the ACS has awarded the Rider SA-ACS a $2800 grant to develop the program.

National Chemistry Week.

This year (2002) National chemistry week was from October 20-26. The Student Affiliates along with ACS members from the Trenton Section of the American Chemical Society and students from Mercer County Community College presented demonstrations on "Clean Chemistry" to elementary school students in our region. Over 500 students participated in the classroom demonstrations and to top it off, everyone got to make Slime!!

Super Science Weekend.

Held every year at the State Science Museum in Trenton, Super Science Weekend is a great event for kids ages 7-107. The Student Affiliate again worked with other chemists in the local community to put together a number of chemistry-related demonstrations. This year's event was held on Jan. 11-12.
