	Why does it matter what impurities are likely to be present, either as side products or as unreacted starting material?
	Anything that is put into an NMR tube may contribute to the spectrum you observe. This includes solvents, standards, products of side reactions, and leftover starting reagents. Therefore, it is helpful to anticipate what peaks you might detect that are not due to your sample.
